VISION

Our vision is for an active and sustainable community association which will host community events to help raise funds and awareness for charities which work within 1066 Country. Our registered teams will feel valued as they play their full part within this association.

MISSION

1066 Country, Relay Fundraisers pursues this vision by supporting community team members to develop their fundraising skills through hosting fun, community events. Which as well as bringing in community spirit will in return raise awareness and funds for the benefiting charities of the year.

PRINCIPLES AND BELIEFS

1066 Country, Relay Fundraisers work is underpinned by a number of principles and beliefs.

We believe

bulletIn the importance of “community”, in a world where so many people are isolated and marginalised.
bulletThat racial, religious and social diversity (or difference) adds value to our society, and that everyone has the right to equality of opportunity.
bulletThat we as a community organisation can help to empower our chosen charities and contribute towards their continued valued work within our society.
bulletIn the value of voluntary activity
bulletin the distinctiveness that we can play a wider voluntary role in supporting our community by encouraging togetherness.
bulletIn the value of community development as a process, which gives confidence and skills to people who are learning to run fundraising events. With the intention of bringing people together whilst fundraising for charities within our 1066 Country.
bulletIn working in partnership with organisations that share similar values in order to maximise resources and influence.
